Why missed client meetings hurt most in tax season

In the weeks before filing deadlines, every hour of an accountant's or tax advisor's day is booked. When a client forgets their meeting, that hour is gone, and the work moves even closer to the deadline. Just as costly is the client who arrives without receipts or statements, because then a second meeting is needed for the same return.

Remind1 sends reminders from your Google Calendar or Outlook, for example two days before with the list of documents and one day before asking the client to confirm. Clients reply or tap the link, and you see the answer on the appointment. Cancelled slots show up early enough to give them to another client who is waiting.

What to bring

Add a checklist to the reminder: receipts, bank statements, last year's return. Clients arrive prepared and meetings stay short.

Built for tax season

Remind1 sends reminders automatically for every appointment in your calendar, even when you have dozens a day.

Your name as sender

Reminders can arrive from your firm's name instead of an unknown number.

Miller Tax & Accounts

When booked

Hello Mr Grant, your tax meeting with Miller Tax & Accounts is booked for Wed 13 Nov at 10:00. Details: my.remind1.com/m/…

Ask for a confirmation. Reminders that ask clients to reply or tap the link get many times more confirmations than reminders that don't.

Put what to bring in the reminder 2 days before, so clients have time to find their documents.

Frequently asked questions

Can the reminder say which documents to bring?

Yes. Write your own text, for example a short checklist. You can use different templates for different appointment types.

Can our firm's name be the sender?

In many countries, yes. Some countries require the sender name to be registered first, and our support helps with that. Until then, or where names aren't allowed, reminders come from a number provided by Remind1.

What about GDPR?

Remind1 offers a Data Processing Addendum and a GDPR guide for customers who handle client data under the GDPR.

Does it work for video meetings with clients?

Yes. If your calendar event has a video link, the appointment page shows it, so clients join with one tap. For meetings at your office, it shows the address with a map instead.

Can the whole practice use one account?

Yes. Your colleagues share one subscription at no extra cost. Each advisor connects their own Google Calendar or Outlook, and client meetings there get reminders automatically.

Your first 10 reminders are free. After that, you only pay for the reminders you create.
