How to use Remind1 with Stripe
Step 1: Connect Remind1 to your Stripe account
You can find this option in your ⚙️message settings (Add appointment page link -> edit appointment page).
Important: You will receive all payments immediately and in full to your Stripe account. Remind1 does not collect the funds and does not take a cut. Therefore, you are also responsible for all matters related to the payment (e.g. refunds).
Step 2: Set currency and default amount
The default amount can be changed on event creation for each individual event (see next steps).
Recommendation: Only set a default amount if you take a flat payment for most of your events. Otherwise, set the default amount to 0 and increase the amount later - if needed - for each individual event (see next steps).
Step 3: Set up the reminder (manually & automated)
If you create the reminders manually you will notice a new input field "Payment amount" to overwrite the default amount.
You can left the input field empty or set to "0" if you don't want to collect a payment.
If you want to overwrite the default amount for automated reminders, simply add the amount wrapped in "$" signs to the event title.
You can set it to "$0$" if you dont want to collect a payment (only required if your default amount is higher than 0).
=> If your default amount is set to 0 in your message settings, no payment is requested until you include an amount in the event title.
Step 4: Payment status
Your recipients are able to pay the defined amount directly from the appointment page. If the payment is made, a credit card icon is added to the event title.
For manual reminders: Left click on the event to see the payment details.
For automated reminders: you can see the payment status in the event description.
